Thank you everyone here for inspiring me! I made my first cake today, I went and bought a piping bag (never used one until this morning) and made a buttercream transfer for a family dinner tomorrow. Only one thing how best to keep the cake until tomorrow? You guys are great I am so addicted now and will be out buying books tomorrow ![]()

for the question on how to best keep the cake, I suppose that depends on your icing...what kind did you use? If it can sit out, I like to box it up so its covered nice...
btw...your transfer looks great...I am wanting to try that but been too chicken!

I can't believe you did a transfer on your first cake!!! And it turned out so great!!! It took me YEARS to try one. I have been decorating for a long time, and yours turned out better than my first one. You had better save your money and start buying decorating stuff, because you have natural talent!
