This Might Be A Dumb Question!

this may sound stupid but I am being lazy - is there something that I can add to a white cake batter to make it a yellow cake? I personally don't like yellow cake but I get the feeling that if I just add a little yellow coloring they will probably tell the difference in taste that it is not an actual yellow cake haha. anyone know if there is something I can add or do I just need to suck it up and get a mix for it? thanks
anyone please! i have to start this in about 10 minutes thank you
I don't really know this for sure, but since yellow cake is butter cake and white is vanilla, couldn't you add some butter flavor? And of course the yellow food coloring, whole eggs...maybe even replace the oil with butter/margarine? I've never tried, but it might work...Jodie
If you're using a mix add whole eggs. Scratch yellow cakes include butter and whole eggs.
