A lady ordered a family reunion cake from me and wants it in a shape of a tree to feed 80. Now i know i need a full sheet cake box for this, but the tree can't be too tall. I am thinking of a 12 inch round cake and a 9x13 double sheet cake for the trunk. any suggestions? The cake has to be within the 26x18 full sheet cake dimensions. Help!!!

how about a cupcake cake.

could make some in chocolate (the trunk?)
some in vanilla or better yet apple spice! (tree)
could fill them

see sketch -- base on 2" diameter cupcakes on an 18x26 cake board.

or

could just cut a full size sheet to shape and then use the scraps to make cake balls you dip in red candy melts and place on sheet as apples (with few that have fallen off too!)

And a really great idea with the dipped cake balls as apples...this idea is getting saved for future reference!

Doug,
Yet another amazing diagram! Great idea. Each person has their own cake and will not have to balance a plate and fork while trying to visit with long lost family members at the reunion.
