That the only cakes I have been super happy with are the ones that I have made for super close family and friends?
Not sure how many of you read my tiraid and self bashing on the disaster board, but since I posted that I have done two cakes that I LOVE. I don't have either of them uploaded yet, but I will.

for some strange reason I do that as well. I have only made liek 2 caske for people that are not close friends. but I don't expect them to like it as much as I do.. poeple definately don't know or act like they don't, how much love u put into it, but your family who knows that you have made a dang practice cake 18 million times, may appreciate it a lil bit

Maybe you know that your family and friends will love and appreciate whatever you do and if you mess up it will not be a big deal like someone else paying you.

You are probably more relaxed and everything 'flows' better when you relax!

i think it is easier and less stressful to decorate for someone you know well. Strangers seem to expect more from you and take what you do for granted. Now if it is a non paying family member that takes me for granted i might just walk right back out the door with the cake in hand.
