I do a 50/50 mix to get the best of both worlds. The flexibility of fondant and the drying power of the gumpaste.

I make my fondant (MMF) and I just recently made some gumpaste because Hobby Lobby was out 3 times in a row that I was there. I used the recipe on the Gum Tex (Wilton) can to make my gumpaste. I don't know how it compares to ready made Gumpaste by Wilton though.

I did buy some Wilton ready made Gumpaste last week but I haven't opened it yet. Even though it was $8.99, I had a 40% coupon and wanted to compare homemade to store bought.

P.S. The gumpaste helps the fondant dry faster and harder.
