Thinking Of Starting A Business...need Honest Opinion!!!!!!

i really need some help...and i need some honest opinions and constructive criticisms. 
please don't worry about "stepping on my toes", i really want to hear from those of you who have their own shop, or home-based business! i have never had any classes in cake decorating...everything i've learned is from books and practice. i just got my associates degree and planned on getting my bachelor's in elem. ed. or psychology. i want, or wanted to become a teacher, but being stationed in italy and doing cakes for the military members here has allowed me to practice my skills...and i've enjoyed doing it while continuing to practice... i just don't know if my skills are good enough. should i continue to practice??? i don't know what to do.
any help would be greatly appreciated!!! 
I think you definitely have the talent to pursue your dream. Realize, though, that the love of cake decorating is only a small part of running a business. Be sure to browse thru the business section for some great threads on this topic. Here's one to get you started:

Your cakes are superb and you will do very well with a business as long as you have a solid Business Plan! You can get all kinds of help and advice from your local Chamber of Commerce or Economic Development Corp. After all, they want to see small businesses succeed! Just remember to have confidence in yourself, have clear goals, and love what you do!
