Make A Better Rosebud...

I started Wilton Course 2 last night, and my rosebuds are terrible! My hand doesn't like to stay in the position of the bag, and when I put my tip under the base petal to "push over" the base petal I can't get the pretty loop! It looks more like a blob! I also struggle with getting the base petal roughly symmetrical. Any tips?

I've read other posts about this but I'm going to jump in here too because I still can't make a decent rosebud no matter what I try. Looking for advice too...

Is your icing on the thin side? It should be a little thicker I think. Just my 2 cents worth.

Post a pic, it might actually make it a bit easier to see what's wrong with the rosebud.
