I've only made cookies once and made them with Toba's Glace Icing.....can I use buttercream and fondant on them??
I just thought how easy to decorate if you cut the fondant with the cookie cutter and throw it on there, lol!!
I just don't know too much about cookies, so I thought I'd ask.
Fondant is all I use on my cookies. I use a sugar glaze and brush water on top of the cookie so the fondant sticks.
I've read other people cut out the fondant pieces while baking so when the cookies come out of the oven, they can stick the fondant on using the steam from the heat.
Well, I have to say thanks for answering me because after I posted I was thinking
duh, I'm an idiot, I should have done a search!!
So, sticking the fondant to a warm cookie huh?? wow....this might be a new addiction ![]()

I would have never though of using fondant. What a great idea!!!!
Don't feel like an idiot - that's genious!!!!
I'm a little late on this (just got back from trip to Denver)...
Fondant is all I use on my cookies as well (with RI for details). I just don't have the time, patience, or space to have an RI base.
I use Satin Ice. I've heard that RBC and MMF are great on cookies, but I haven't had luck making either one, so pre-made is the way for me.
