I've only made cookies once and made them with Toba's Glace Icing.....can I use buttercream and fondant on them??

I just thought how easy to decorate if you cut the fondant with the cookie cutter and throw it on there, lol!! icon_lol.gif I just don't know too much about cookies, so I thought I'd ask.

Fondant is all I use on my cookies. I use a sugar glaze and brush water on top of the cookie so the fondant sticks.

I've read other people cut out the fondant pieces while baking so when the cookies come out of the oven, they can stick the fondant on using the steam from the heat.

You can also just slightly brush the back of the fondant with water, and it will adhere to the cookie.

Rolled buttercream and candy clay also work fine for cookies. You don't need buttercream under any of these, either.

I'm a little late on this (just got back from trip to Denver)...

Fondant is all I use on my cookies as well (with RI for details). I just don't have the time, patience, or space to have an RI base.

I use Satin Ice. I've heard that RBC and MMF are great on cookies, but I haven't had luck making either one, so pre-made is the way for me.
