Thanks for your patience with a beginner.
If I'm making a 6" round cake, what size cake box would I order for it?
Is 6" x 6" x 4" too small?
Is 8" X 8" X various heights too large?
Thanks a million for any help.
I'm from NJ and I found a charity that will take cake donations and sell them to benefit pets in need. I figured I'd make a bunch of 6" round cakes and see if they sell.
Brpboxshop has free shipping but boxes come in multiples of 100: http://www.brpboxshop.com/index_all_bakery_boxes_with_images.html
Country Kitchens has them in packages of 12s: http://www.countrykitchensa.com/catalog/SearchResults.aspx?description=cake%20box&page=-1
I would check at various stores throughout your community. A discount dollar-type store used to sell them where I am, but now I actually by mine at an equipment rental store that also rents wedding supplies! You will be shocked where you might find them. Also, sometimes papergoods places will have them -- or a restaurant supply.
i use hobby lobby, b/c they have free shipping on 25$ or more, the shipping is what got me at alot of the sites, i also try to get them on sale plus you can order any number for me in an apartment it's good, i'd love to save and order 100 but i don't have the room.

Both sites are an excellent place for bakery boxes...and at instawares.com, I get pink boxes!
