fondant and fall leaves makes a pretty cake. Simple and easy.

You can add rope borders of burnt orange.

As I read your post, I pictured a cake all in ivory with either maple or oak leaves in the burnt orange cascading down. The leaves could be done with gum paste or fondant (dried with a slight curl) or even molded chocolates. Minimal decoration on the cake. Maybe even using small versions of the leaves as the base borders.
That's one possibility.

well, the sky is the limit, but if you give the budget it will help, has she given you anything other than the colrs to work with? does she want a round cake, a sheet cake a tower cake? also browse the galleries and once you see somthing toward your ideas, you should pm the creator for for some suggestions

If you do gumpaste, you could do a fabulous cake with ivory icing or fondant, Luster dust, and a spray of tiger lilies of glory lilies. That would beautiful. I'm hoping to get a request for those colors, because the glory lily is amazing.
