I want to buy some luster dust and maybe some pastry fillings. Is country kitchens a good place to order from? I think the luster dusts were like 2.95 and shipping would be like 6.95

i ordered from them before and they were good, the shipping was fast and the fillings were so good. i did bavarian cream & pineapple mixed and it was delicious. i really didnt have a problem at all but if you are buying a $2.95 item alone then $6.95 shipping is alot. you can keep the fillings for along time so you can stock up and make the shipping worth it.

I've ordered from them and there customer service was great. They even called to make sure they were sending me the correct item because the item number had recently changed and they wanted to make sure I got the correct item.

YES YES YES!! I love them, my fave place to shop. If you can order something else just to make the shipping worth it I would do that. Just anything you know you will use. It's hard to pay shipping for one thing, makes me feel like it's a waste. But as for the shop they are wonderful, great service, prompt shipping. I can't say enough good things about them! icon_biggrin.gif

I purchased from them at ICES, and they were the first to deliver. They were very helpful, and I will definately do business with them again.
Make sure you request their catalog when you order.

I placed my first order from them yesterday and forgot to request a catalog (free with $30 purchase, otherwise you pay $6 but get $6 off your next $30 order) so I emailed them late last night asking them to add it. They wrote back promptly this morning to let me know that they had added it. I was pleased with the turn around. I can't wait to get all the stuff I ordered. I'm like a kid at Xmas!!!

I was very pleased with them.

I just got an order from them a few weeks ago. They called me personally when one of the things I ordered was temporarily out of stock. I thought that was great. My order came the very next day!

Very pleased and will order again.

I have ordered twice from them with excellent service and shipped the same day. They even called me to ask about an item that was out of stock. Highly recommend them. Their high-ratio shortening is the best and some of their extracts have very good prices.

They have the best prices I have seen on the tubes of ready-to-use fillings.

I only order from this company. I love their products and the customer service is exceptional! They have about anything you want online. Be sure you get the catalog. It is nice to have for browsing and making a Christmas wish list!!!

Ok I take it back. I will NEVER order from Country kitchen ever again.

The last order I placed came in today, and UPS charged me a $42.09 brokerage fee. I never had to pay this fee in the past, so I dont know what changed. This order was lighter than all the other ones, and my actual order is only for $45!!! I called CK and they didn't care.. all they could tell me was oh well.. nothing we can do.

Obviously they changed something in the way they fill out their UPS forms.

I am so upset I could strangle someone. If I didn't need the stuff I ordered for this weekend, I would have sent it back!

I just placed an order with them last wk. I ordered just 3 things, one of them being the baby bootie template. They called me back the day after saying they are currently out of stock. they should be receiving more soon. they wanted to know if wanted to wait for it, replace it, or send other 2 items now and then that one later. I was surprised they called to ask.

Vanaya - i'm sorry about the bad experience that really bites. icon_surprised.gif i too would be really pissed off and wouldn't order again. now i'm worried cause i'm not usually home to pick up the packages, my mom is.

Wow! I have never heard of this. What is a brokerage fee in regards to delivering packages?

Ok, now that I have calmed down a little I did a bit of research.

UPS is the one that charges the fee and from what I can tell, not all packages are hit with this - its hit and miss.

Country Kitchen had nothing to do with this and I dont think they knew UPS was charging me this. I will call them on Tuesday and appologize.. I was kinda mean on the phone icon_redface.gif

I think you should call UPS and let them have it, Vayana, that's ridiculous! I've never heard of that.

They are the only ones I have ordered baking/decorating supplies from. The Customer Service is great. They people are always friendly and helpful and I always receive my order in about 3 to 4 days. I have not been disappointed yet. As a matter of fact, I'm waiting for an order to arrive now!
