do you typically use for a 6", 8", 10", 12", 14" and 16" cake? I am getting ready to buy some ribbon onliine (non of my local shops have double faced satin ribbon), but I am not sure what is the best size to get for my money? 3/8", 1/2"? What do you all think?

Thanks!

I like the look of the wider ribbon on some cakes (depends on the look you are going for, so at least an inch, usually and inch and a half. I suppose it depends on how tall you cake tiers are and how you want it to look.

I would suggest buying the 3/8 of an inch, if they have inch wide, I think that's perfect. 1/2 inch is too narrow, and you would lose the effect.

If you can get an inch wide that would be the best - -
These cakes are 6, 10, and 14". The ribbon is 1 1/2" wide if that gives you an idea of how the width looks on the cakes...
