Dear friends
I am looking for a good Icecream cake recipe. All sorts of suggestions are welcome. This is going to be my first icecream cake. icon_smile.gif

You can use most any cake recipe. Bake the cake and use the same size pan, lined with plastic wrap and spread it with softened ice cream. Put the ice cream in the pan back in the freezer until it is hard.

The two will stack together, or you can split the cake and put the ice cream layer in the middle. You can use softened ice cream as 'frosting' Some buttercreams will not stick to the ice cream. Whipped cream also works well as 'icing'

The one I really love, and do most often, is one layer of chocolate ice cream, then a layer of oreo cookie crumbs drizzled with chocolate sauce, then a layer of cookies 'n' cream ice cream. Then I cut oreos in half and place them in a circle around the outside and put chopped up Skor bar in the middle of the circle. It's deeeeeeeeeeelicious!
