I made it for the first time. Did RI for the first time.

Okay the recipe calls for cream of tartar. I used Wilton Mirange Powder. I noticed today that the Wilton powder already has cream of tartar. So should you use another kind of pwder that doesn't have cream of tartar already?

The Antonia's worked out fine. It was a bit stiff. I literally added ALL the sugar at once and it ended up really making my KA mixer sound tired so I took some out and mixed in 2 batches. Came out fine and the drop flowers are already hardened, Also learned parchment is best to do the flowers. Paper plates and plastic dough mats are a no no!

Back to my op--should I try to find plain powder? I actually like the taste of Wilton.(I may be just wierd, but I thought it was a nice taste)

I just made that RI recipe. I used Wilton Mirangue too plus cream of tartar...I had great success with it.

I just iced some bride cookies and have to ship them 3 hrs away to my cousin's bridal shower...I guess that will be the test icon_biggrin.gif

usually, a little extra cream of tartar won't hurt anything. use what you have or what you like.
