Can anyone tell me what's a good brand of gumpaste to use? I don't particularly care for the Wilton brand. Additionally, is there something that you guys put into your fondant to make it more elastic and easier to use? Thanks for any tips you guys have!
I recently bought the SatinIce brand gumpaste and really liked how it worked and it was very white in color (the batch I received was anyway).
Depending on the brand of fondant you use (SatinIce and Pettinice for example), putting some Crisco on your hands while your working it works. If you use the white chocolate brands, you wouldn't want to do this or at least that what I've experienced. You would chose powdered sugar for these types: ChocoPan and Sweet Inspirations brand (from Caljava) are the 2 I've used.

I use Wilton's Ready made gumpaste. I never have a problem with it.
Also my fondant I knead it really well and it sually does not need additional shortening added to it. I find the Wilton fondant usually needs a bit of shortening. I use Virgin ice fondant.
I like the mix from CK Products. Very inexpensive and easy to use! Great results too!! 
I get mine locally at a cake decorating store. You may want to check with www.satinfinefoods.com to see if there is a dealer near you.
Otherwise these online stores carry Satin Ice fondant and/or gumpaste: Into the Oven, Pfeil and Holing, Country Kitchens, Cakes by Sam, The Baker's Kitchen.
www.globalsugarart.com has just started carrying Satin Ice fondant and gumpaste as well.
I usually order direct from Satin Ice, when I need it in a hurry I order from International Sugar Art (they are in GA & I get it the next day).
