How exactly do you smooth a cake with a paper towel?? I've never done it before, but would like to try it.

You may want to try using parchment paper instead of a paper towel.

I always use computer paper. I ice the cake let it crust alittle and lay the paper on top and smooth with my hand. Has always worked for me. Haven't tried the paper towel method. I buy genric towels and don't know if they would work or not. So I will stick with what works for me right now. Maybe you could give it a try Kay
