I haven't posted on the forums before, but I am in desperate need of help today and I'm hoping someone can offer some advice. I am making a cake for my sister-in-law's baby shower (tomorrow). It's a 12x18 sheet, in which I put 2 cake mixe's and a cake extender recipe. I added the 6 eggs for the cake mixes, but forgot to put the 1 egg for the extender recipe -- is this cake ruined?? I didn't realize what I had done until the cake had already been baking for about 20 min. icon_cry.gif Am I going to have to start all over?? Anybody know?

TIA!

Kristy

No it should be fine. You can actually bake a cake mix and leave out all the eggs. It is very different, but tastes great. I've done it for my friend who is allergic to eggs. No one else even knows the eggs were left out.

And only one? no problem.

Thanks so much for your response, JoAnnB! You were right, the cake was fine, and nobody would have ever guessed that I forgot an egg! thumbs_up.gif
