I would love to make a topsy turvy cake and I really don't know how to start. Is there a pan set to use or do I just make rounds and cut them on an angle? are the tiers higher than four inches? and what would be the best way to support this type of cake? I'm sorry to ask so many questions at once , any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

WOW icon_eek.gif I just gave myself a headache reading those tutorials!!!! I'm guessing that it will definately take more than one try to get the technique down - that's ALOT of cake!! Thanks for the tips and links. Hopefully I'll have a picture to post soon.

Thanks miriel, the diagram in that tutorial make alot more sense to me. Actually seeing it like that makes me think that it might not too... difficult. I'm not as confused as I was twenty minutes ago. thumbs_up.gif

Those instructions have less cake waste too as it uses the cut out middle piece for the bottom of the next tier.

Thanks for all the links to tutorials. I don't feel so overwhelmed about trying a topsy turvy cake myself now.
