Hello everyone! I have 3 domino cakes chocolate cake with chocolate BC and I decided to put chocolate ganache on. They looked so nice last night but after sitting in the fridge overnight there are discolored spots this morning of a lighter brown. What happened, did the ganache dry out? Did BC somehow slip through? How do I fix it, can I remelt the discolored spots with a hot spatula?

It may have been a bad idea to put them in the fridge because I used candy melts for my ganache and the ganache hardened like a rock lol. It will be interesting to see how the cake cuts...

If you touch it with a spatula, it will be worse. Try a warm hairdryer, on low, and not too close. the warm air may re-melt the ganache-IF that is the problem.

Thanks, JoAnn

I really hope that is the problem I don't see how buttercream could have seeped out because I put the ganache on pretty thick, especially on top!
