ckkerber,
Now you get out there and find an excuse to make a tiered cake!!
I found a set of mini round pans on eBay. They're 2", 3", 4" and 5". Was thinking about getting them so I could do mini stacked cakes both for practice and because you don't ever see them! Wouldn't that make a fun girl's birthday cake?
Well, I am finishing up course 3 this week (I started it back in May but stopped halfway through so I'm taking the final two classes this month) and so I'm supposed to do a stacked / tiered class for Thursdays class. If I can pull it off, then I am sure I'll be bold enough to try again. I have been afraid of stacking / tiering because it just seems like a disaster waiting to happen but there's so much more you can do with it so I just need to get over it and do it! Yours is so cute and worked out so well so hopefully I will be as lucky!
The cake is so adorable. You did a wonderful job with the decorating.
It is so adorable! I love the way the top icing is "dripping" down the sides! And Pooh is so cute! You did a great job! ![]()

Fabulous cake...outstanding work. Congratulations!
AMAZING!! I have a Pooh lovin' little boy in my house and I can't wait to show him! I'll be adding this to my favorites so I can attempt a tiered cake when I feel brave!
Great work...I'd pay top dollar for that cake! ![]()

I used tip 12 and just blobbed it around randomly to create the clouds. Did basically the same thing for the dripping honey - just a little more drip like than cloud like

Thank you! It really wasn't as hard as I expected - just really time consuming (about 10 hrs to decorate, not counting baking time). There's also a Pooh stand up pan that's been discontinued, but you can find it on eBay pretty regularlly.
That is just so cute! You should be very proud of yourself. Great Job!
