I'm really ready to take my cakes to another level, but I don't know where to start, I sell my little mini's loaf pans to different salon and different people but I want to take it another level. Also can someone tell me how I can package cake to put in a vending machine, I have a friend who wants to try my cakes in his vending machine. I live in Orlando Florida, and you have to take all kinds of different steps, do anyone have a business plan for cake business. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

First you need to contact your local health department. Different states have different rules to go by. For example you may not be able to have your business in your home, but in an actual store. Where I live in West Virginia I am able to have my business in my home because I live outside the city limits.
As for the vending machine stuff I am not really for sure.

Hope this helps a little!!

Florida requires a licensed kitchen, and they do not permit home kitchens.

In order to package for vending, you also have to have nutritional labels, and pull dates.

A heat sealer would probably work, but given all the other restrictions, you may want to re-think your plan.
