I made a cake and crumb coated. Now I went to make some frosting and don't have any powder sugar. icon_cry.gif I can not get to the store today and wondered if i could let it sit until tommorow? I have placed cakes in the freezer before but not crumb coated. I also am out of wrap to cover it. So can I let it sit in my cake caddie today and frost the next day?

Thanks

I wouldn't. the crumb coat may not be enough to protect it from drying out.

I have left a crumb coated cake for under a day and it was fine. I think it should be okay personally.

I have left crumb coated cakes overnight in caddy or covered with saran wrap overnight. NO PROBLEMS!! Cakes were actually very moist!!

It should be fine in your caddy. If you're worried about it drying out, place a slice of apple in the caddy too (not touching the cake) before you close it up.

I crumb coated a cake and put in the freezer for four day's. I was supposed to have class and it was cancelled because they lost electricity. I covered mine in saran wrap. If you have yours in cake caddy it's covered and you're fine.

Sure, it will be fine. Leave it on the counter, put it in the freezer. For one or even a few days, really it will be fine.
