Gum-Tex is a powder that can be added to both gum paste and fondant to make them dry faster and harder. To the best of my knowledge, you can actually make anything out of Gum-Tex.

Gum Paste mix can be mixed with water to form gum paste. Either the powder or the finished gum paste can be added to fondant to make it sturdier and dry a bit faster. I don't know the proportions if you were to add it dry. I think it's easier and you'd get a better result if you make up the gum paste and then knead it together with the fondant.

Gumtex in fondant will help it dry faster than fondant alone, but it generally does not have the strength for making very thin petals for flowers. Gumpaste is stonger, and dries faster and harder than fondant with gumtex. Fondant with gumtex or 50/50 gumPASTE and fondant are good for making drapes or figures. you have a little more time before it hardens, but it is stronger than fondant alone.
