Need An Idea For A Chinese Cake Or Dessert

We have been invited to a co-workers of DH house for dinner. They are from China and will be making us a traditional dinner. I asked if it would be ok if I brought the desert so I am now trying to come up with an idea that would be approiate. Either a traditional chinese dessert or a cake idea with a traditional chinese design. Any help would be greatly appriated.
i would say a take-out box but i don't think that that would be really appropretate ... i would take a dessert rather then a cake... it might be simple enough just to make a tart using exoctic fruits check out recipe search engines for ideas... if u really need to take a cake then maybe something simple with some blossoms or asian flowers on it... hth
My BIL is chinese and his mother always brings food/dessert when invited to someone's house. Typically she'll go into Chinatown and buy some pastries from one of the chinese pastries. She ends up brings things like custard tarts, pork buns, coconut buns - stuff like that.
