I love the look of the cakes done with the impression mat that give a quilted look. I don't have the mat but thought I might try by marking the top and bottom of the cake and use a flat edge to connect on an angle. Have any of you tried that? and did it work? Thanks for all the help.

Hello, I love the look too. I used a tracing wheel to make mine . Here is a cake that I did it with. Just remember not to press too hard and go through the fondant. Good luck. Cheffie icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

In my photos, there is a green baby shower cake that I quilted with my Wilton wheel-thingy. I forgot the name of it, the handle with interchangeable wheels that marks designs. I just freehanded the pattern in the fondant with some extra buttercream underneath the fondant to give it a poofier look.
