I was wondering the same thing and would love to hear what people think. I am soooooo hesitant about ordering on line and as of yet have refused to give it a try. DH keeps telling me how to look if it's a safe site and all but I still worry like crazy.
I have ordered from CC several times now and I have nothing but great things to say about the quick shipping and professional service.Heath and Jackie have a wonderful site here. They both spend alot of time setting this site up to be efficient and safe!Go ahead order..You won't be sorry!!
Hey Cowgirl...what part of the city to you live in??? It costs about $5.95 shipping for small items.Very reasonable and this site is based out of Washington state so it only takes about a week for stuff to come!!
Yahoo!!!!
I order online all the time. A lot of the stuff for my cakes isn't available around here so I get it online. I've never had a problem......The credit info is secure and I've just about always received my stuff pretty quickly. As far as postage to Canada......I don't know......I think it's worth paying it though if you can't get it locally.
I've ordered from CC several times and always receive my stuff fast and well packaged.
I try to order from here when I can because I know that it helps keep CC up and running...now only if they carried cheap cake fountains I wouldn't have had to order mine for pfiel & holding.. ![]()
ok fellow canadians with the exchange rate and shipping do you find it worth to order from an american site? I always wondered about that and since I am in montreal which is quite a ways from washingtons state I guess the shipping would be quite expensive?
I've ordered from CC and they give excellent service. I ordered the Americolor gels, which you won't find here in Montreal, and with the special price they have, it justified the cost of shipping. And with the rate of CAN$$ against US$$, it's not so bad indeed. I didn't pay any customs tax, my order was less than 20$ but I don't know how that works either. They marked the package as a gift, so I think that helped too.
I ordered from them on friday and have been tracking my package{which I think is wonderful} it is in atl. now so I should be getting it in the next couple of hours.I wil post how every is packaged.Oh ya I went ahead and did the over $50 and free shipping so I dont know there shipping prices.
Darcat, or rather Cowgirl58...No the free shipping doesn't apply to us....
Many of the online cake sites are based out o the Eastern USA so that should be good for you in Montreal. With the exchange rate being sooo good the last year it is very comparable to get items shipped from the US if they are not available in Canada. You do have to watch the shipping because some sites charge a horrendous amount for shipping and state it is their handling fee etc which is fine if it is reasonable but I have cancelled orders becasue the shipping was more than the item I was buying.
I just recently ordered from CC and it's perfectly safe. You can always look at the page where you put in your credit card information nad in the bottom left corner of your browser window (your internet) you should see a tiny lock. A lot of places will also display a "Secured by ______" or something to that effect and you can click on it to make sure that it is really is secure.
I've ordered a TON online everything from cake stuff to clothes to food products - and I think I had a problem maybe one time..... there was an order I didn't recognize from Amazon.com..... but the credit card company just cancelled the payment - your cc company will usually side with you so that you don't have to pay any fradulent charges. Then you just get a new cc and all is well. It's very unlikely though that someone will take your cc info from the website. Another tip is just to make sure that you always LOG OUT of a site after ordering from it - especially if you are on a public computer. You can also clear your cookies by going to Tools - Internet Options - Delete cookies - they are the things that store some of your info so that when you need to enter it again it automatically comes up - like for forms where you enter your e-mail address or physical address a million times.....
But anyway - order from CC and you're good! Just takes some precautions and you should be fine. One other tip - watch your cc statement. If you don't recognize something - call them up immediately. I really think the only way people get away w/ stealing a cc or something is when the person who actually owns it doesn't ever pay attention to money coming out of that account until thousands of dollars have been spent..... I always look my cc statement up online and my bank statement and if I don't recognize a charge you better believe I'm calling my bank or cc company! Things have always worked out though.
Good luck! Take some precautions & be safe!

You can check how much shipping costs before ordering by using the shopping cart. It will show you how much is shipping before the check out.
I ordered from CC once. For the most part, it was a pretty good experience. I really liked that shipping and handling was free for any orders over $50. I also like that they accept PayPal. There were a few items that I ordered that were out of stock and CC refunded my money very fast. The only thing was when I got my package, I was missing a cake pan. After sending a couple of emails, they said they'll send me the cake pan and hopefully it'll arraive soon. I'd say the customer service has been pretty good and I'll probably order from then again.
I order a lot on line, especially from Ebay and Golda's kitchen. I just made my first order with CC last night and already had an email telling me it's been shipped!!
As for the exchange rate, it's really good these days. And I love paying with paypal. I sell stuff on Ebay so I always some money on my paypal account for cake stuff.
Now I just hope that Hubby won't be home when I receive the package, he just told me to stop buying stuff.... ![]()
hi I just received my package and I'am missing an item.I sent an email and am waiting for reply.I am not worried, cc seems very profesional.
Hi ~ I"m ALWAYS shopping online. I've had two large orders from CC and was very pleased. I did have a couple items missing from the first order but when I contacted them with this issue, they promptly got back to me and sent the items right along. I WILL ORDER FROM CC AGAIN.
I shop ebay all the time and numberous other sites. Online shopping is a pretty safe way to go. Just make sure you check out the sites and their shipping/handling practices. I steer clear of high shipping costs.
So..........shop shop shop shop shop!!!!
UPDATE!!
I just received an email they are sending my item.
THANKS CC LOVE YOU GUYS!!
I have ordered off the web a lot, from CC, ebay, amazon and lots more. I have not been unhappy once. My order from CC came just when it said it would and packaged well.
I opened a checking accout just for ordering things online, and keep very little in there until I order, then I deposit that amout into the checking. That way I don't have to worry about losing a lot of money from that account.
I too look for the secure sites, but haven't had a problem yet.
I think you will be very pleased with your items ordered from CC!
I have ordered from CC and my package was well packed and I got it pretty quickly! Plus, I made sure I ordered over $50 and got free shipping!
I have ordered tons online
but not from CC, yet that is. I am working on quite the wish list, hehe. CC looks to be very safe IMO, so go for it, but be warned its addicting to be able to shop from home in your pj's ![]()
I have seen some places with better prices but I figure if I order $50 worth and get free shipping its worth it to help CC, I would be lost without this place ![]()

IF you find something that another retailer is regularly selling cheaper than us, let us know. We know we are the cheapest seller of Americolor, and we are trying to be the lowest cost provider on as many things as we can be.
So if you see a product at our store, and another retailer sells it cheaper (not a sale) let us know and we will see if it is possible for us to match their pricing. Can't promise we can, they might be getting a better purchase price than us, but at least we can look into it.
How many days does it take to deliver to TN? I placed an order for Americolors last Friday and still no colors
Well, if you placed the order on a Friday, it would not have been shipped out until either Saturday or Monday depending on the number of orders ahead of yours. IF it was shipped UPS ground, that takes 5-9 days. If you paid for priority it should be there by now. IF you had free shipping then it is probably UPS Ground. We don't know the exactly number of days to any given location. But if you contact us via the HELP tab and provide your ORDER# we can try to track the package.
According to ups's website, ups ground would take approximately 5 business days to ship to TN.
Here's a link to show shipping from CC's hometown in Washington for outbound shipping. So it is an approximate time of how long it would take for your order to be shipped from CC to you.

I ordered some cake supplies for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I found it to be worth it. I like the Americolor gels better than anything else I've tried. I got my mom to order some things off of Ebay last year too for me. I'm kina kicking myself for not checking out CC before I did my order a couple of weeks ago, some things here were cheaper than my other site I order from.
