The box cake mix is fine, that's all I use. Add an extra egg and a box of vanilla pudding to the marble cake mix if you have it. If not the egg will be enough. There may be a recipe in the recipe section too.

Good luck,
Kat

Sure you can marble a pound cake.

A marble cake does not require a special recipe. Marble refers to the way the cake looks. Like a slab of marble.

Make your pound cake if that's what you are using and reserve a bit of batter to create your marbling effect.

Chocolate Marble:

Add cocoa powder or melted baking chocolate to the reserved batter and mix. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the plain batter that's already in the cake pan and run a knife or spatula through the batter.

Rainbow Marble Cake

Make a few different color batters (I usually do a pink, green and yellow) and add to the plain yellow batter. Then run a knife through it.
