My phone just rang. Its Tom Cagney from Capella, the flavor drop company. He noticed that I had selected two days ago some flavors to purchase on line, but I had never completely checked out. Well, I have purchased from them before so he had all my info already. Story was I have small children and never got to finish my order the other day. Anyway, he was just checking to make sure everything was okay. He thought maybe I had hit a bump or something. I had used a discount code that was expired he said, but he noticed that I was from CC (i put that in the notes), and he wanted to give me a discount, the "CC discount" he called it, and asked if he could finish my order for me. What great customer service. I have started a lot of orders on line from all sorts of companies, but have never had anyone call me before. He was such a nice guy. He defintely has my future business.

Absolutely!!! I did not even know companies looked or could even see people were placing things in a cart. I thought they could only see when you actually bought it. It really threw me for a loop. But allthough I was surprised I was very pleased.

Iwas told to mention it in the comment section when you place your order.

Putting it in the notes section is what I was told too, but that doesn't work. I ordered $70 the first time with no discount, and I had put it in the notes. The number is 1-760-290-3255. maybe call him and ask. He was so nice, and he gets so much business from CC Im sure he wouldn't care. If you do this ask him what the code is and post it here on CC.

There's a 15% discount code floating around somewhere on this site...can't remember in what thread I saw it, but I'm sure if you search, you'll find it. Seems someone saw it in a homemaking magazine, IIRC.

I think the code is SIMPLE15........check out the following thread:

http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-374913-.html%2Acapella

For anyone that's tried the drops, what have you made and how did you like it? I've had pretty good success with all of my experimental concoctions-my favorite is a pina colada cake I made with the orange creamsicle & coconut drops, I added pineapple juice, threw some pineapple chunks in a cream cheese frosting and it was a huge hit. Anyone else?

There are a few websites that will email you if you've abandoned items in your shopping cart. I've had this happen with ProFlowers and a couple other sites.

You are absolutely right, but how many times do the owners of those sites call you?
