Hey all! I have my first wedding cake to do in Sept and we are still getting the desing together. I need some help from you all. I was looking into a new desing and thought about using all cake. The first desing was using a cake dummy on the bottom, just for looks of a bigger cake. I need to the cake to feed about 60 because she is also having a dessert table. So I went looking on wiltons site before talking and doing up another sample cake for my BTB. Their serving chart says a 8" will feed 24 people and a 12" will feed 58. We all know it depends on how the cake is cut and the sizes. Do you all think that a 12" & 8" will be enough for 60? Thanks for the help Megan

If you actually want each person to have cake, no it won't be big enough.
It is more likely to be 50 servings.

What about doing a 6", 8" & 10" with a 12" dummy on bottem. That's enough cake for 74 (which is safe if they cut the pieces bigger) but if people dont come or some dont want cake they could always cut into 6" last and/or possibly save the top 6" for their 1 yr. This would give you a nice big 4 tier look w/out too much cake but enough if they cut bigger slices.

That was my plan orginally to do a 12" dummy and than a 10" 8" & 6" savign the top for their first ann. Thanks for the help.
