How do I get into doing Edible images, what do I need, etc? I've found a few things, but I'm a little lost. I'm just starting so money is tight! icon_biggrin.gif

Also I had a instruction sheet on how to do buttercream transfers, but have misplaced it, can anyone refresh my memory?

Thanks!

About the edible images -- are you asking about equipment you need? I can't help you there. I get them done at our local cake store or we have a grocery store (Albertson's) that actually does them too.

As for the FBCT, that's when you trace an drawing with buttercream, fill it in with the colors you want and then freeze it. You then transfer it to the cake. There's a great tutorial here on cc. That will show you everthing pretty well. PM me if you want -- I do a lot of these.

Good luck!

S.

CakeCentral has a great series of articles on edible images:

I read through these before I purchased a cannon printer, the ink cartridges and edible paper. I love the system.

Thank you for your input, it was really helpful. As far as edible transfers, I just want to know how to get involved, products to research, etc. Thanks again!
