I'm doing my first chocolate transfer for a cake this weekend. It is a bowling pin. Do I still make the outline black even if the pin is white? Any other ideas for a bowling cake for a six year old?

Thanks a billion

The outline is just to accentuate the transfer, it does not need to be black.

Hello
Have you thought about using the ball pan to make a bowing ball? I have found that kids just love the ball, for any sport. you can put it at one end of a rectangualar board, & make a large thin chocolate transfer of a bowling pin; you can place the pin down on the board so it looks like the ball 'bowled it over'
it's a thought..
to answer your other questions; no you do not need to outline in black, however, if you were to place the chocolate transfer on a on white or ivory icing, it would not stand out well.
hope this helps
ciao
