Help!!! Its Not Drying!!!!!

I made a monkey (end the end out of fondant cos thats all i had) and its gone sticky!!!!! Its not drying and im scared to move it onto the cake incase i ruin it!!!!

How would i try and get it to set a little bit? Heres a pic of it

Humidity and the moisture from the buttercream can soften fondant. You can try putting a small fan in front of it and cross your fingers.

Awww...That monkey is so cute!!!

Do you have a dehumidifier? Set it on top of that for a little while. OR you can put it in the oven. NOT turned on just sitting it in there is good. It is dry in the oven and should help it. Make sure to write a note if it's going to be in over night though.

Now heres a problem... No dehumidifer and No fan!!!! Argghhhhhh
I might try him in the oven for a bit.... Its really bad weather here. Pouring with rain but its not freezing (wintertime is great... NOT lol)


ok went to the oven and its still warm from baking 3 hourd ago!!!!

Oh! I wouldn't put him in there while it was still warm! I would open the oven to let it cool a little and then put him in! Any kind of warmth might make him sag.

I let the oven cool down and put him in there for 30 mins. Decided to just put it on the cake and bring it in to work... hes pretty dry this morning which is good icon_biggrin.gif
