I am going to be taking an order for a fall wedding soon, and they want to serve 150 people. This is all I know so far. They want some ideas of what I would be able to do. So I guess either round cakes or square. What size pans do I need to feed 150?

There is a serving chart in the articles section that should help. Anything over 14 inches gets very heavy.

If they want to save a bit of money, you could offer them 3 modest tiers at your regular price, and sheet cakes for a lesser price.

check out my figures for servings on my website. I had my hubby calculate each size cake I make divided into 2x2 for party slices and1.5x2 for wedding slices and this is what I go by.

You have to scroll down to see the serving amounts.

I might be wrong but I think 16, 14, 12 will approx. give you 150 servings.... that is if you use a larger serving size. I have seen some serving charts that will 'serve' more....but they are miniscule pieces too....also, are the tiers supposed to be 2" apart or more varied?
