edible image does everyone remove the backing from the frosting sheet like the directions say or do you leave it on?

Do you mean before you put it on the cake? I print with the backing on the frosting sheet, let the ink dry, remove the backing and place on the cake.

Thanks for responding so quick. That is what I thought but according to the instructions that came with the frosting sheets (from kopykake) It said to remove the back before you put it in the printer.

Yeah - that one threw me for a loop also. Don't know whey they state that in the instructions, but silly me, I tried it and had to spend alot of time cleaning out the printer when the frosting sheet was torn to bits.

OUCH! I'm glad I asked then. I wasn't going to because I thoutgh I'd look stupid but now I'm glad I did.

I don't take mine from the backing either.

Thanks everyone who responded. I just gave it a shot and printed my very first edible image. Well actually I had to print 2 because the first one had lines in it like the ink was skipping. but the 2nd one is perfect.
