As a non cookie person I decided to venture into COOKIE LAND! Yikes!

I used Toba's cookie icing recipe ( WATER, CORN SYRUP AND 10X SUGAR) I got from a cookie website... I did add coloring - yellow ( americolor) perfect I thought and I can't go wrong! NOOOTTTT!

Cookies were cooled overnight- just happened that way. Icing was poured the following day but, when they dried the icing was DULL:-0(

The icing was shinning when it was made. Where did I go wrong?

I would think the corn syrup would help with that.

Sorry I don't know, bump.

I think the trick is to dry them under a lamp. somehow the warmth of the lamp allows the icing to dry shiny
