I love my scraper. I find it great for smoothing my icing and lifting cookies and all sort of things. I also use it in my regular cooking like when I'm chopping veggies to lift them into the pan. Great when your grating cheese and want to lift the cheese it doesnt stick. My other useful item is a plain old toothpick its great for swirling icing. And third but not least are my offset spatulas. Although I really must invest in a turntable lol. I'm new to this so have to purchase one item at a time lol. And a big ty to all of you here a cc you get my baking juices flowing lol dont know if that a good thing yet as I'm dieting

I am going to dare to be different here and say the pricing matrix I downloaded from here. I use it the second I get an order. I determine what size pans I need for the amount of servings, a shopping list, and price.

Ok I think after listing this I best go find the link to it and post it here. Be right back. icon_lol.gif

I just have the cheap Wilton one. Gets the job done, and if it breaks (bound to happen eventually with a 2 yo around) no big loss.

I have to have paper towels and butter knives (regular knives that are part of our silverware). I probably go through a whole roll of paper towels every time I do a cake and I use the knives to mix in color. I've used spatulas and spoons, but the nice sturdy butter knife is the easiest to use!

I could make do without some piece of equipment, I suppose, but not him.

Where can I find one of those?!! icon_biggrin.gif

If I can remember which catalog I got him out of I will be sure to post!!! icon_twisted.gifthumbs_up.gif

Definitely the people around me as I can always get a tool or an ingredient, however supporting family & friends is on the top of the list & is hard to find!!! Come to think of it they do a lot more then anything I own or have learnt...
They try things, I know I can always count on a good critic, I can pick there brains when mine is just not working, always there to give me courage & to help with anything needed being errands or cleaning, they even listen to me when all I do is babble about cakes...

I won't babble any more...

I can dig up the pic of the writing I did with a ziploc baggie to show your dh if you would like and that should shut him up. It's bad, just say no!! icon_razz.gif

Besides my kitchen aid I would have to say my silicone spatulas. The kitchen aid is like my 4th child, I love it so much lol.
