8:48 a.m., my 8 y.o. son just got up... gotta' love summer time hours thumbs_up.gif Had our little snuggle 'good-morning time' then he was off. Thinking he's in the kitchen getting breakfast when all of the sudden I hear the mixer! Go to check it out and he's in there making chocolate chip muffins!! icon_surprised.gif He's only done this once before totally supervised by me... Now I guess he thinks he's an expert. Go buddy! icon_biggrin.gif

Aww! That's so cute! I started baking and cake decorating at his age. You can't start 'em too early! icon_biggrin.gif Mmmm. Choc chip muffins sound good!

What a cute story! I've been showing my 6 year old DD how to decorate a cake. We practice on wax paper eveyday, and I think she's better than me! This weekend I'm letting her decorate clown cupcakes to take to church. She's really excited. Gretta, I guess you have a little assistant now. Have fun!

Awwww ~ that's so sweet. Well, how did they turn out? I'm sure they were fabulous. Hopefully he didn't forget the eggs like i did yesterday icon_confused.gif in my cake & cupcakes icon_lol.gif . At least they tasted good.

Muffins turned out great! I did go in to keep an eye on him but just watched. His little brother (6) wanted to help put in some of the ingredients, so the older was "instructing" him how to do it. Too cute! He brought some to his baseball coach that evening to share. Move over mom!
