I am new to cake decorating, I made a birthday cake last week and was totally disappointed in the taste that Wilton coloring gave my buttercream. I used pink and black. It made the icing bitter and had an ink taste. What fooding coloring brand is good and will not destroy my buttercream?

thanks

Americolor colors are strong enough so you don't need as much color, particularly black and red.

For black start with chocolate bc, you need less color to make it black so it's not bitter.

There was a post about perfect black a few days ago, something about violet..do a search or go back a few pages.
