I'm using a cake dummy on a wedding cake..it is a 4x12 round. It is the bottom tier and I was wondering if I need to dowel it for the other two tiers
(10" and 8". Any advice would be appriciated. It will be done in fondant. birthday.gif

No dowels required. The dummy is strong enough to hold the upper tiers.

If you plan to assemble them stacked, and want a dowel all the way through, put a nice wide hole through the dummy before you cover it with fondant or icing.
