I am doing a cake for my nephew's 6th birthday this weekend and he wants a Percy (green train #6 from Thomas the Train)..... can you all post your pictures of Percy cakes that you have made??? I was planning on making a 3D cake, but am crunched for time so I'll be making a sheet cake instead. Any ideas????? Please help.

Here is a link to the picture of a cake that I did for my nephew's 5th birthday. He loved it and he got a toy he could keep and play with later too.

You could try this idea as i did for thomas for my nephew... i just got a colouring pic off the net and then made each piece like a jigsaw puzzle and placed them on the cake sticking down with water. I used the thomas the tank engine 3D face from Debbie Browns book to give it a little life my nephew loved it... you wouldnt have to put in the background and this looks really cool on an oval cake too.
You could then use green ribbon round the cake to match percy.

Look at my Thomas cake in my photos (I can't figure out how to post a pic here, sorry). He was made from a sheet cake. You could modify it to be Percy.

I havent' done a Thomas sheet but I did do a Thamas 3-d and it is actually not that hard. I think the key is to do the face ahead of time. If you want I can look up the directions I got off here. They're great. Let me know if you want to try it.
