Hello, friends! I have a question for all you experts out there!
My son's birthday party is a Monkeys and Bananas theme... I think I might do a chocolate cake, but my question is... Could I fill it with Banana pudding? It's the banana pudding recipe that uses cream cheese and fresh bananas... would that be too rich? I don't think ANYTHING'S too rich (I'm a big-time sweet tooth), but then again, I want people to eat the cake!!! Thanks, in advance, for your help! Blessings! ![]()
I think that sounds soooooo yummy!! People will love it!! I say go for it! ![]()
Thanks, everyone! I'm excited about making it (in September).
I don't have the banana pudding recipe with me (I'm at work), but I will do my best to find it and get back to you with it! It is EXTREMELY delicious!!!! Very rich and tasty! I'll get back to y'all soon, I hope! Thanks, again, for the advice!
I just baked a chocolate cake with a banana cream filling for my daughters sweet 16 and EVERYONE LOVED it. Here is the recipe I used: (recipes.com)

"A fluffy banana filling or frosting made with instant pudding and whipped topping."
INGREDIENTS:
1 (3.5 ounce) package instant
banana pudding mix
1 very ripe banana, mashed
1 cup milk 2 tablespoons rum
1 (8 ounce) container frozen
whipped topping, thawed
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a medium bowl or food processor, mix pudding, banana, milk and rum until very thick. Gently fold in whipped topping. Spread over any size cake.
I think the combo sounds good too! Just be sure and put a nice thick damn around the sides so that yummy pudding does not ooze out. I was going to recommend making it alittle thicker than normal pudding - put it sounds like with the cream cheese it is already pretty thick.
