I am doing a baby shower this weekend and she wants precious moments as her theme. I tried to make this little girl......... this is what I came up with. I can't tell if it even looks anything like one of the precious moments. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'd say it looks like very much like those dang Precious Moments figurines!
My mother keeps buying me them...despite the fact they look SO tacky with our Medieval decor. I'm hiding them in the kids room atm...hoping she doesn't notice. There nice...but SO not my taste..

Your kids room has an atm? I sure wish my kids rooms came with atm's! LOL....of course the money would just appear in them and never come out of my checking account! Now that I could definitely handle! =)
To get back to the topic, your figurine is beautiful. Very well done!

atm= at the moment![]()
The figure is adorable...very nicely done. Precious Moments is notorious for the giant teardrop shaped eyes and almost non-existent noses...
I think if you just changed the eyes a little bit and made the nose smaller, it would be the exact image of a Precious Moments figure.

I think it looks like a PM figure but I would make the colors a little softer and like the others said teardrop eyes. other than that it's great!
My thinking exactly! The eyes are the right shape but need to be w/ the points up (tear drop position) and the colors pale/pastel. You've just about got it! Very cute! ![]()
I think you did a great job!! I would also go with pastel colors.
I think is better if you let the head dry than paint the eyes instead of inserting them, PM figurines have flat eyes. Also very important to make them pastel color
here is my revised chick. I gave her a nose job and painted white below the black paint to try and give it a more tear drop look....... any better? thanks adven68

I changed clothes and got a friend. Will this work or do I need to change the chair and go even lighter on the clothes?

ok three words... cute, cute, cute
Personally I think they both look perfect. I wouldn't change the chair, to me the vibrant color helps bring out the pastel of her dress.
If it were me I'd call it done...very nice work. ![]()
Remember when doing Precious moments figures that you need to stay with pastel colors. Light pastels. I'd probably go to a light pink and pale yellow, something along those lines. Remember the key is stick with pastels. But very cute otherwise!
ok she hired an interior decorator. He got a little outside the lines but maybe she won't notice. thanks for all the help........ now on to the fairies. wish me luck.
