I was just wandering how people package and lable thier cookies. Do you seal the bags and if so, how?? I have seen some cookies that have labels attached to the top with a saying or thier business info.

I have been asked to do a big batch of cookies for a Freedom Fair this Saturday for fourth of July. Just looking for a little help on packaging. Thanks!!

I use the cellophane bags from Michael's & use ribbon to attach tags/cards. I use to put a sticker with out website on the back but since I am not legal I stopped doing that. In CA I have heard they are hardcore when it comes to this stuff.

I have never tried the sealing technique yet but I would like to in the near future.

For parties and such I use ribbon. For giveaways and resale, I seal the bag with my iron. This works for the bags that have a seal down the backside. You can buy a bag sealer for about $35.

By Ohio law, I have to label with my ingredients. I don't know what laws/regulations you have in Cali for that though.

Unless you have a licensed business, I would not attach business card. California is quite strict about home baked goods. Even if you are giving them away, they could trigger questions.
