I am making a sheet cake and will be putting some candy clay molds (teddy bears) on it. I have to bring it to work (about an hour drive with morning traffic), so I'm figuring that I should put the bears on the cake AFTER I get here? Will the bears sink into the cake if I put them on too early?

You can add the bears any time. If there is a risk that they will shift, an the sides for example, you could add those when you arrive.

I would definatley add them when you arrive, just to be on the safe side!
