The Michaels here carries the pro turntable and they will honor competitor coupons. They won't do unlimited items but if that's the only thing you're going for, print off a coupon and happy shopping!! I just got back from HL and SAVED $49!!! That's all I'll tell my DH too icon_cool.gif

I just got back from HL and, boy, did I get the MOTHER LOAD!! My HL honored the coupon with no limit on the number of items so I got everything I could including the tilting turntable. I saved $112! I know that is a lot to spend, but I shouldn't need to shop again for about a year! Plus I think I am fully equipped to do wedding cakes now. Wooooooo Hoooooo!

Dumb question. For those of you who have the tilting turntable. Can you return it to Wilton stating the item didn't hold up to the advertisement on the box? Didn't know if you'd get some kind of credit? icon_redface.gificon_confused.gif

I wondered that myself. Most worthless cake item I have in my kitchen. I notice that Martig just bought one. Hope she likes it better than the rest of us on here. I haven't found one person that likes it. Waste of good money.

Hooray! I just saved $85! I was able to get some basic pans (8" and 10" square), some decorator bags, the three tiered stand from the '07 catalog, and some basic necessities (meringue powder, cake circles, tips, lollipop sticks). I am SO excited!!! I may just go back before the week is out!

FYI
I emailed Hobby Lobby through the promotional link that they have on their website and the official word is that YES, you CAN purchase as many items as you wish with one coupon. So it shouldn't vary store by store.

Yep, I just got back from HL and the cashier did not even hesitate when I gave him the coupon. He just went right ahead and took 50% off everything Wilton I had. Here I thought I went crazy saving $42 but I guess I am on the low end here!! I got everything I wanted and then some. Once I saw the new Wilton 2007 tiered cake stand, I just had to have it, for $15.00!! It can be used for so much more than just a cake.

I'm soooo sad b/c we just had my little girl's bday party and are broke till next payday icon_sad.gif My old instructor told me that they usually have this coupon once a month or so, does anyone else know if that is correct?

Usually about twice a year Hobby Lobby has a 50% off sale on all Wilton items. Normally it is in the regular ad, but I guess when they started this coupon stuff they decided to throw it in there.

I have class at Michaels tonight, so I will see if I can use mine there. My Micheals carries more than Hobby Lobby when it comes to Wilton products so I get a better deal there. Plus I'm already heading there myself. icon_smile.gif

It's so much more fun than saying how much you spent. Though, in this case, with 50% off, it's the same amount!!!

Our closest HL is 80 miles away in Springfield. I can't find time or money to go. To add insult to injury, my son called and asked me to babysit tomorrow so he could go to Springfield to the Boy Scout store. Don't know if he would know what I wanted if I drew him a picture. My daughter is going Friday on her United Way job and hopes to pick up some stuff for herself at HL. I told her it would all be gone by then.

So spend for me also..........

Just to let you all know that the cashier was only going to let me have one item and I said it didn't have a limit so she asked the manager and I spent almost $150 on wilton stuff today and I might go back tomorrow.

Oh I did! I didn't find parchment triangles at the one Hobby Lobby near me so I went to another one "just to get the triangles". About $40 later, I left the store. That brings my grand total today to $120+ (YIKES!) Thankfully, I only know of two Hobby Lobby's in the area and I think I bought everything that was of interest to me at each one. Plus, my three year old said to me as we were heading to the car this evening, "No more cake stores, mommy. Let's just go home and make a cake." I'm justifying all of this to myself by thinking that I am still very new to all of this and if I want to do it "right" I really do need to have the right stuff.

so, I get to my HL today to find the aisle in disarray and most of the stock missing....their rearranging the displays in that area of the store!!!

this is TWICE that has happened at the same time as the Wilton sale. ya gotta wonder if this store is planning it that way.

even so, still spent $60 on what I could find. (tho' I was coveting, and not yet justifying, the three different curved iron stands and the fountain)

I was really wishing that HL had the professional cake turntable (not the tilting one) went to two different ones today and neither carries them in stock...bummer. Going to check out Michaels tomorrow and if the carry it, see if my Michaels will honor the HL coupon....

Thanks for the information about the tilting turntable. I had planned to buy one. I will wait and look for something else.

When I went to Hobby Lobby I was told by one of the workers that the coupon was for only one item. I bought a cake stand and some extract, when the cashier rang up the order she gave 50% off all of the items. I asked her about the sale and she said that you could get as many items as you wanted. The other cashier said it was for only one item. They proceeded to kind of argue back and forth about who was right. The store was closing or I would have asked to see the manager to get the straight answer from him/her.

On 40% coupon week I drag my 2 kids with me to get discounts on cake supplies. So I did that today not knowing I could get alot on one coupon. Not that I ahve alot to spend but got some basics. Daughter who is 7 loves coupon week. ButI am not going to tell my teenage son he didn't have to go through it icon_redface.gif or he will never help mom out again icon_redface.gif He loves mom so he will do it, but buying a 2.00 item to get 50% Sometimes he thinks I am crazy. But we are pooring money into a old car for him. He will turn 16 in Dec. Plus he wants mom to make him a AWESOME cake for his 16th icon_biggrin.gif So I can hold that over him if I have to. No really he is a good kid. But he does get embaressed easy.

I emailed Hobby Lobby directly this morning before going shopping and got a reply directly from their promotional department. It says that you can use it on as many items as you wish so if anyone has problems and wants me to forward the message on to them, just PM me. At the very least you could bring a copy of the message into the store if they try to tell you that you're limited to only one item.

Whew, just spent $88. last night on wilton stuff. I happened to see the ceramic cake stand and bought it for $15.. Although I haven't taken anything out of the car yet(except for a wilton book). My husband just wouldn't understand even though I park right next to his brand new motorcycle.
Oh well, I have to go out again tonight, and will make another detour to Hobby Lobby again!

I went and saved $75! I regret not getting some stuff and now I can't believe I didn't get more stuff. I know most of the stuff will be missing if I go back today.
I had the Wilton Course II class today and all of the ladies knew about the sale, except I was first and took a lot of things they were looking for. lol I felt bad.
I too left everything in the trunk of my car. DH would never undertand, but he eats all my cakes.
They did tell me they'd give me a raincheck for anything I want using the coupon if they don't have it in the store, so I'm gonna go to the wilton store online to see what else I want.

Knew there was a reason to be thankful for being single. Don't have to hide what I buy from a DH. Sometimes I wonder how they think all these cakes come into being. It takes money to make money, as the saying goes. icon_lol.gif

I don't understand . . . you can't get ANYTHING Wilton, can you? Just the stuff that the store would normally carry, right? You can't go on the website and pick and choose things that weren't initially in stock to begin with, can you? I would think you could only get the things that they have a space on the shelf for . . .

Well, the lady who was there said that if I don't see what I'm looking for, they can order it, so I'm taking it as they can order anything from Wilton. lol
