Does anyone have a recipe for Confetti Cake? My daughter's best bud wants it for her 19th bday. She says she doesn't want sprinkles in the cake, but confetti. I've searched our recipes here, also googled and searched the web, even BC, DH, Pills. She just wants vanilla BC for the frosting, so I didn't misunderstand . . .

JanH - you must, must, must please write a tutorial on how to find threads on CC. I always never seem to be able to find a thread or subject that I am looking for. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

Thanks Jan - I did find the BC mix, do I put both sour cream and vanilla pudding in it to doctor it up? (And an extra egg, extra oil, milk instead of water).

yes you can doctor it that way (tho' the one i funfetti cake I did 3 weeks ago, I did butter instead of oil -- so much tastier -- and I even added about a half bottle of more sprinkles to kick it up even more)

I use DH cake mixes (no pudding added) and don't add pudding because I don't like the resulting texture (somewhat gummy) - but that is JMHO.

The WASC cake recipe is very popular:

For even more flavor variations:

(Use different extract, different mix flavors, use liquor or liqueur, berry or lemon juices, add white chocolate or cocoa, incorporate strawberries or raspberries in the batter.)

Here's a thread on cake mix add-on's which includes all the enhancer and extender recipes:

i used creme bouquet flavoring.

tho' any that goes w/ white or yellow cake would work

the sprinkles only add color - not flavor.

yes, it is a flavoring -- use in place of butter/vanilla extracts or in addition to.

have a specialty cake store nearby (not michaels, a.c.moore, hobby lobby -- they do not carry it)? try there.

online, some places are:

have fun shopping (and browsing all the other stuff at those sites too!)
