I am just wondering what cake recipe I should use for it? Do I have to use a pound cake? Do you think the dr'd cake mix recipe would hold up ok or not? Can anyone recommend a good recipe that you use for this pan? Thanks!

I just used the extra egg and box of pudding recipe and it has held up nicely. granted I have only used it twice, but both times it held nicely.

Me too...added a small box of instant pudding to the mix and it worked great.

The directions say "any pound cake mix or pudding added mix" I just use Betty Crocker with pudding in the mix. I used that for my Kirby cake (in the gallery) and for the soccer ball cake I made a while back. It worked perfectly!

I just used a Duncan Hines yellow cake mix, nothing added, for a basketball cake 4 days ago, and it was fine. No problems.
