hi I will be making a 5 tiered chocolate glazed cake for a wedding in October. I was just thinking that since the glaze gets soft at room temp. when the tiers are taken apart to cut and serve the glaze on the top of the cake would most likely stick the bottom of the other cakes board right? Is there a trick anyone knows to prevent this from happening so that when the bottom tiers are severed they don't look awful and are missing some of the glaze? Hope that made sense haha. thanks

If they touch, they will stick. You could use hidden pillars and leave a small separation between the tiers that you could hide with a border.

the cake would then have to be assembled on site.
