Hi all, another neighbor asked me to do a cake for them. How much should I charge them for this cake. It is lemon sour cream cake with raspberry filling and lemon buttercream. All the decorations are fondant lightly dusted with sparkle dust. I was thinking $30.

Thanks

It is a 9 in square pan 3in. tall. Should feed 30 people.

Well my cakes are either 2" or 4" deep so I can only give you what I would charge for those at this size. - remember these are starting prices

2" one layer $1.50/serving for servings 2x2x2
4" layer with buttercream filling $2.00/serving for servings 1x2x4

I figure a 9x9x4" tall cake will feed 40 and a 2" layer will feed 20 so 30 for your sounds about right.

As for additional fondant decorations $15.00

So avg out my prices my MINIMUM for this cake would be $67.50

So not sure if this helped our not but hopefully it will

I just went back and re-read what flavors/fillings you had (sorry just woke up from a nap icon_lol.gif )

My price for one layer of filling goes up $0.25/serving for the sleeved fillings, if it is specially made then another $0.50/serving

So better add another $7.50 or $15 to the cake.

Don't fall over, but I'd get upwards of $100 for that.
