Hi everyone, does any one know the name or what kind of non-dairy icing that the supermarket bakery uses on their cakes and then are able to freeze the cakes. The icing is not sweet at all, but has a soft and creamy texture. Also, where would I be able to get this type of icing. Could the icing be bettercream or pastry cream icing, Just was wondering, cause there is pastry icing that you could freeze even while it is on the cake. I'm sure you could add your own flavoring to it if you desired. TIA and have a good night and a great weekend. icon_smile.gif

I believe it is Rich's Bettercreme, but I don't know that for sure. I think there are some CC'ers who work in grocery store bakeries, so hopefully they will see this thread and let you know for sure. icon_smile.gif
